/11 Days and 10 nights tour/

Day 1  Ulaanbaatar

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar. Your local guide meets you and does transfer to your hotel. And depending on your arrival time you will be offered to have a city tour including Gandantegchilen monastery and two other museums / National History, Natural History, Bogd Khan Palace museum, Zanabazar Art museum or others/on your choice and you are able to enjoy shopping in the cashmere factory store of the famous Mongolian cashmere brand "GOBI" as well as visiting the factory. (Lunch and Dinner)

Day 2   Bagagazar

After early breakfast drive to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, a huge stony formation granite stone mountain chain that stretches for 35 kms. Driving mostly by paved road you will be at the camp in Baga Gazriin Chuluu by lunch time. Therefore you will be welcomed to have lunch then transfer to the Gers, a round felt tent and have some rest. In the afternoon you have a short trip in the mountains enjoying the fantastic meditating nature and surrounding beauty of nature. In the evening you can catch a view of wild sheep over there in the mountains except foxes and different birds like hawks and small ones. It is a real meditating area with green ocean fields and mountains among it. Approximate distance of driving /ADD/ -245km.( L, D, B)

Day 3  Driving to Gobi Gurvan Saikhan NP area

After early breakfast drive to the Middle and South Gobi direction. It is a real adventurous long driving day. Driving through vast area of flat steppe and low hills you will be at your camp in the late afternoon. Have lunch in nature on the way you will visit KHukh Burd Sum, an old temple with a nice view all around. And of course enjoy different landscape every time and birds, small mammals and different steppe and Gobi insects too. Late in the afternoon you will be at a Ger camp in 45kms from Yol Valley/Vulture valley/. Transfer to your Gers and have dinner then rest. /ADD:320km by off road!/( LB, D, B)

Day 4  Yol Valley and Khongor Sand Dune

After breakfast you leave the camp and drive to Yol valley enjoy the nature , amazing view of the valley and catch a glimpse of wild sheep , wild goat and the famous Lammergeyer, the giant bird that protects and cleans the nature just feeding on animal spoils and lefts. You will spend there some 2-3 hours walking along the narrow gorge between mountains in Gobi Gurvan Saikhan/ actually is the tail of famous Altai mountain chain/ NP area. Then continue driving to Khongor Sand Dunes. Khongor Sand Dune stretches over 180kms and glistens along contrasting with rocky mountain Sevree behind. Be there at Dunes late in the afternoon and lunch box will be taken from the previous camp to have on the way to Khongor in nature. After arriving to the camp you drive to the sand hills climb to the top of of Duut Mankhan,/ Singing sand/, the tallest sandy Hill and listen to the sound of sand blowing. Have a stunning view of the surroundings enjoy the setting Sun. Dinner is served there at the camp restaurant and stay in Gers. / ADD:45+180 km by off road!/ (LB,D,B)

Day 5  Bayanzag, Zaisan saxaul grove and Flaming Cliffs

After breakfast drive to Bayanzag, the name is given by the famous American explorer, Roy Chapman Andrews who found the whole dinosaur skeleton from this area the first time. And the Bayanzag area is covered partly with the Gobi trees-Saxaul in the desert zone of Mongolia. It is the biggest Gobi tree grove in Asia. Be there by lunch time. After having lunch and occupying your own Ger you start exploring the area, visit a camel breeding family. Experience in riding the two humped Bahrain camels! Enjoy how the Gobi trees could grow tall in such harsh climate with a little precipitation. In the evening before the Sun set drive to Flaming Cliffs, the famous place for its rear dinosaur fossil findings. Flaming Cliffs looks in fantastic bright golden –reddish color at the sunset. Stay at a Ger camp. /ADD: 164 km/ ( L, D, B)

Day 6  Ongi, old monastery ruin

After breakfast drive to Ongi monastery in Middle Gobi province. And the Ongi river runs on 450kms and passes the Ongi monastery. Ongi monatery was built in 18th century and had about 1000 Buddhist monks but the temples were destroyed during the time of Stalin repression. Today you can enjoy some ruins and partly restored temples, the old well from that time etc. On the way to Ongi ruin you cross the famous Ongi steppe stretching over 80 kms. It is a nice calm place to trek around. Be there by lunch time stay in Gers. /ADD:180km/ (L, D, B)

Day 7  Khugnukhan Mountain

After breakfast drive to Khugnu khan mountains via Sangiin Dalai lake. Today you will enjoy more plant and other mountains and shaggy - looking yaks in addition water birds at Sangiin Dalai lake. The landscape will be changing from less grassy naked ground to green grassed land with taller hills and the mountains appear when you are near to Khugnu Khan mountain area. Be there by lunch time. Have lunch transfer to your Gers. Then trek or drive to Erdenekhamba, a monastery from 17th century and enjoy having view of the Mongol Sand Dune in the crossing point area of three regions, steppe, high mountainous-Khangai and Gobi zone. /ADD:270km/(L,D,B)

Day 8  Kharkhorin village, visiting Erdenezuu

Today after breakfast you drive to Kharkhorin village next to the site of old Khar Khorum ancient capital which was one of the world trade centers and visit Erdenezuu, the oldest and historical monastery of Mongolia with 108 stupas around on walls built in rectangular of 400 x 400 meter distances. And the three main temples kept and renovated and serving as a museum but at the same time there are working temples restored and monks read sutras in there where over 100000 ancient Buddhist books are kept till today. You will be in the spirit of the old times and be at Ovoos where Chinggis khan and his sons left their foot prints! Have lunch at Kharkhorin afterwards drive back to Khugnu khan to shorten the distance that you drive the next day and enjoy yourself visiting a nomad family, the small pond with water birds, have experience in horse riding. Day 9  Khustai NP

After breakfast drive to Khustai NP, a mountain chain rich in wild animals and plants including some endemic ones. Khustai NP was registered as a member of the world biosphere network of natural reserves as being a home to 459 species of vascular plants, 85 species of lichens, 90 species of moss and 33 species of mushrooms. 44 species of mammals have been recorded, including Red deer, Mongolian gazelle, Roe deer, Wild boar, Wild sheep, Ibex, Mongolian marmots, Grey wolves, Lynx and many others. But there you can come across marmots and hare easily except observing the reintroduced wild horses to Mongolia, the Prejwalski horses. You can observe them in the evening when they come down from birch forest to water to the skirts of the mountains and gracefully floating deer can be seen more often for sure in autumn you can hear the wolf howling . You arrive there to the camp by lunch time then have some trek around or drive to Ungut, where the ancient stone complex in 35 km from the camp. After dinner you drive to the mountains to have a close look of the Prejwalski horses. /ADD:220 km /(L,D,B)

Day 10  Ulaanbaatar

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar transfer to your hotel. Free afternoon on your own. In the evening enjoy folk concert. /120km/ (L,D)
